Come By Here and Lady Marmalade
Masque Theatre
18th February 2025
For February's play reading, we have a double bill of Come By Here and Lady Marmalade by Kudzai Mhangwa.
The evening will include a table read of the play by actors, followed by a discussion of the work. The discussion will be led by Melanie O'Connor Horn and a panel of experts. Input from the audience is most welcome!
About the plays
Come By Here is a comedic piece that follows an enthusiastic alien hunter and conspiracy theorist who is hot on the trail of a sighting. He then comes across a cast of similarly strange characters who might just foil his attempted claim to fame.
Lady Marmalade is about a couple of ghost hunters who are about to uncover the mystery of a ghost haunting a deceased dancer. The story takes place in a graveyard, where two ghost hunters come to try and spot the infamous demise that has captivated their town for a long time.
