Rehearsals will begin on Sunday 31 August with a read through of the script, and a meet and greet.
What to prepare for the audition:

A comedic monologue of around 1 minute. You don't need to know it off by heart, but you do need to prepare so we can see comic timing and acting choices being made.

A pop song of your choice that matches your voice and range. Please bring a backing track on a flashdrive for playback at the audition. No acapella.

Wear clothes you can dance in as you will be asked to learn a short piece and perform it for the panel.
We're looking for an array of fun characters:
Eli - mid-to-late 20s, male presenting
A mild-mannered and shy bookworm who must whisk away his fears, and prove he's more than just a side dish in the grand recipe of destiny.
Stefan - mid-to-late 20s, male presenting
A robust noble with a gooey centre who must prove he can handle the heat with the other chefs in the kitchen.
Princess Anika - mid-to-late 20s, female presenting
A sweet princess who grows bitter as others keep trying to stir her fate.
Mina - mid-to-late 20s, female presenting
A spicy handmaiden who is unafraid to serve a knuckle sandwich or two.
Pepper - 40s, female presenting
A plucky woman with a knack for stirring the pot, is well seasoned in secrets and always ready to serve a little chaos à la carte.
Bert - 50s, male presenting
A sour, power-hungry nobleman with a palate for manipulation, who is always cooking up schemes to serve his own agenda.
King Henrik - 50s, male presenting
A timid king and tender-hearted father, who is as soft as overcooked noodles and easily seasoned by the strong flavours around him
Ensemble - 18 and up
Looking for an array of flavours and characters.
The ages and genders given in the character descriptions are how they each present. However, if you've got the acting chops for the role, we are more than happy to age and drag you up (or down).
