South Shore Festival
Shoreline Songs and the Cottage Club
1st & 2nd May 2026
Presented by Shoreline Songs and the Cottage Club
The Masque Theatre 1st & 2nd May 2026
South Shore Festival is a Purely Roots Music celebration of the remarkable musicians of our Deep South community. For two intimate nights, fourteen bands and solo artists grace the Masque Theatre stage. Sharing their original songs and favourite covers, including songs that honour South African musicians who have shaped our musical landscape. Together, these performances proudly pay homage to the rich heritage and lively pulse of Roots Music.
Beyond the music, South Shore Festival recognises musicians as poets, storytellers, and cultural custodians. It is a space for listening, reflection, and appreciation — shining a gentle light on the dedication, creativity, and emotional labour that musicians offer the world. This festival invites audiences to experience music not simply as entertainment, but as a vital force that shapes identity, values, memory, and connection across the Deep South and greater Cape Town.
PLEASE NOTE: Should you wish to book for both nights and receive a BIG 20% discount, please contact admin@themasque.co.za, or pop into the box office and book your tickets.
