About the event
For June's play reading, we're delving into The Tea's Gone Cold by Casey-Ann Kruger.
We're excited to be presenting original work from one of our very own Youth Theatre Club members - very fitting for Youth Month.
The evening will include a table read of the play by actors, followed by a discussion of the work. The discussion will be led by Melanie O'Connor Horn and a panel of experts. Input from the audience is most welcome!
About the play
Two sisters return to their grandmother’s house after her death to pack up her belongings. As they sort through her belongings, tensions rise and unresolved grief surfaces. Their grandfather, who has dementia, doesn’t realise his wife is gone. The visit forces the sisters to confront their different ways of grieving.
