Please note that all personal information captured by this form will only be used to contact you regarding the play reading programme.

What to expect after submitting your script

After your play has been submitted, our team of reviewers will read through and provide feedback. This feedback will be collated and sent back to you. We endeavour to do this for all scripts that are submitted, even if it isn't selected for a reading. Please note, it can take up to three months for our team to review your script - depending on the volume of scripts we receive.

If your play is selected for a reading, you'll be given options for a date for your specific play reading. Only one play is done per month.

The Masque then takes care of the rest. A director will be selected for the reading and actors sourced (the playwright is not involved in this process - it's important to step away from the work to see how an external eye interprets the play).

On the day, the table reading will start proceedings. The panel and the audience will then be given the floor to make comments and offer their thoughts. The evening will be hosted and chaired by a representative of the Play Reading Programme.

After the play reading, your play will go into contention for selection for our One-Act Play Festival the following year.
